Course Description In this course students will be introduced to basic medical language and terminology that they would need to enter a health care field. Emphasis will be placed on definitions, proper usage, spelling, and pronunciation. They will study word structure and parts, including roots, prefixes, and suffixes, as well as symbols and abbreviations. They will examine medical terms from each of the body's main systems, including skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, nervous, endocrine, reproductive, and lymphatic systems, and sensory organs. In addition, students will learn proper terminology for common tests, procedures, pharmacology, disease, and conditions. Delivery Method Course Availability
