Course Description
Accounting is more than numbers and spreadsheets; it’s about unlocking the secrets of financial success and understanding how to drive a company forward. The individual who understands business finances holds sway in the organization. From decoding financial statements to mastering corporate ethics, real-world scenarios expose you to accounting principles and provide opportunities to apply your knowledge. Whether you’re exploring if accounting aligns with your career aspirations or you dream of becoming an entrepreneur and want to gain a deeper understanding of managing the “books”, the first half of the course will empower you to navigate accounting and make excellent decisions.

The second half of the course is not about crunching numbers; it’s about understanding how accounting shapes business and how you can make a difference. Building on what you already know, the second half of the course takes you deeper into real-life applications of the accounting cycle. You will explore how modern tools, like inventory management, payroll, and cutting-edge technology, are shaping accounting today. Think like a boss as you work on a project throughout this course: managing internal controls for your own fictional company. Accounting is your chance to make an amazing impact in business and life.
