Course Description This eighteen-week course covers a variety of topics within the areas of disease prevention, human growth and development, substance abuse prevention, nutrition, and the importance of taking responsibility for one's health. The content of this course follows the areas of traditional health education, building a foundation for health in 9th-12th grades. Note: In accordance with state mandates, this course includes education on drugs and alcohol, AIDS, and sexuality so that students can make informed, responsible decisions.
