Course Description General Science offers students a fun, nonthreatening introduction to the world of science. Students visit some of the best sites on the Web and have the opportunity to conduct independent research. Some of the lessons contain hands-on activities and experiments. The course covers several different branches of science, including topics such as: hurricanes, weather stations, lasers, magnets, hummingbirds, polar bears and botanical gardens. This course meets state standards and is based on the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) standards. College prep.
