Course Description This is a science course designed to incorporate Earth Science, Biology, Ecology, Botany and Chemistry into a meaningful array of topics surrounding the environment. Students will develop a familiarization with current regional and global environmental problems and potential solutions utilizing the World Wide Web. Some of the topics covered include: biodiversity population dynamics, resource management, weather and "greenhouse" effects, global warming, endangered species, geological hazards, and air, water and soil pollution. Delivery Method Prerequisites Biology Access or ownership of the book "The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss Course Materials Virtual High School will have course materials, if any, shipped directly to students. While there is no additional cost for course materials, there is an additional charge for shipping. Students are required to return such course materials to course instructor upon completion of the course. |
