Course Description
AP® World History: Modern
The course will only cover historical events that took place from 1200 CE onward. AP World History: Modern focuses on six themes: humans and the environment; cultural developments and interactions; governance; economic systems; social interactions and organization; and technology and innovation. Learning objective are highly specific to each unit so that students can use them to better prepare for the end-of-year AP exam. Throughout this course, students develop skills such as the analysis of primary and secondary sources, making inferences, creating theses, and using reasoning. In short, the course changes a lot of the focus of assessment, and spends more time on modern history and less on ancient times, especially focusing on global connectivity.

This course does not include registration for the AP Exam Offering. Students planning to take the AP exam are required to register and sit locally for the AP Exam.
