Course Description This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of fundamental concepts and their applications while reinforcing and developing skills essential for continued success as lifelong learners. This course discusses the development of the history and culture students live within. The course begins with prehistory and Ancient Egypt and progresses to the Middle Ages and the European Monarchs. Many students have a difficult time connecting with history; this course attempts to remedy that by showing students that the history of the world directly led to the world they live in. Students will be asked to analyze such concepts as Athenian citizenship and the emergence of a middle class. This will help facilitate a connection between their world, and the world they are learning about.
