Course Description
French I provides a solid foundation for reading, speaking, listening, writing, and understanding of French language and culture. The lessons throughout this course progressively develop the student’s proficiency by starting on themes such as greetings and self-denotscriptions. From this base, the student is then encouraged to look outward on common topics such as the classroom, home, community, and leisure activities. Students will also be able to apply grammatical knowledge of present tense verb constructions, commands, possession, and noun adjective agreement.
