Course Description
Students continue their exploration of the Spanish language through more in-depth lessons and participation in forum discussions while improving their comprehension skills in both oral and written form as well as expanding their ability to interpret the language. Vocabulary topics explored include tourism, types of transportation, places to go, TV programs, personality denotscriptions, chores, forms of communication, professions, and environmental concerns. Grammar topics include preterite tense, imperfect tense, using both preterite and imperfect tense, relative pronouns, comparisons and superlatives, ser vs. estar, imperatives, future tense, and the conditional tense. Students will explore many Spanish-speaking countries through learning about their products, practices, and perspectives and identifying various famous Hispanic people and important monuments in Spanish-speaking countries.
