Course Description This course is designed to introduce the health information technology student to principals of clinical quality management and performance improvement in the health-care industry. Focus is on standards and implementation of quality programs and principals and concepts of performance improvement. The course also covers additional areas such as utilization management, risk management, and tools and techniques used in performance improvement and quality management.
