Course Description This is a college level history course designed to meet the needs of highly motivated students who have a strong interest and ability in history. The student is expected to read and analyze both primary and secondary source materials and to demostrate ability to interpret and evaluate these sources in essay form. Students will take the Advanced Placement American History exam in May, as preparation for this exam is a major goal of this course. Therefore, the course is content driven with heavy emphasis on written critical analysis. Extensive reading writing and class discussions are integral components of the program.
Delivery Method Prerequisites Above average writing skills, willingness to spend time reading and researching. Other Information This course does not include registration for the AP Exam Offering. Students planning to take the AP exam are required to register and sit locally for the AP Exam. Course Materials Virtual High School will have course materials, if any, shipped directly to students. While there is no additional cost for course materials, there is an additional charge for return shipping. Students are required to return such course materials to course instructor upon completion of the course. |
