Course Description The objective of the Travel Agent program is to prepare students for entry level positions in the travel industry. It provides students with comprehensive instruction in such areas as; major modes of travel; customer services; tour organization; airline reservations and ticketing; sales techniques; and agency operations. Simulations of both manual and electronic ticketing procedures are utilized in order to develop student ticketing proficiency. Employment opportunities for the graduate exist in a wide range of industry support and supplier areas, including travel agencies, tour companies, wholesale suppliers, airlines, cruise lines, in-house corporate travel departments, and visitors and convention bureaus.
