Course Description This Advanced Placement Physics 1 Course is equivalent to a first semester, algebra-based, Introductory Physics college-level course. The rigor and pace of this course is consistent with that of many major colleges and universities, and will prepare you for the Advanced Placement Examination in May. Upon successful completion of the exam, you may receive college credit and you will be well-prepared for additional advanced physics coursework.
Delivery Method Prerequisites One full year of high school Algebra 2. Course Materials There is a lab kit for this course that must be purchased for an additional fee of $175. The kit allows students to perform modified versions of several labs suggested by the College Board. Students will need to care for kit contents responsibly, follow directions carefully and work independently to successfully complete these labs. |
