* Prospective NCAA Division I and II student-athletes should visit the NCAA Eligibility Center website (www.eligibilitycenter.org) and seek the NCAA's acceptance of a particular Education Provider's virtual course prior to registration.
Course Description Do you enjoy working on the computer? Are you fascinated by creating characters and having them relate to each other in stories and games? Do you want to learn to make your own characters move and interact online?
Delivery Method Prerequisites This course is an introductory-level class that does not require a background in computer programming. Students with an advanced level of game development or programming should understand this prior to enrolling in the course. Students should have experience navigating the Internet. Students should have an interest in creative computing, animation, storytelling, gaming, and working in an educational online community. This is a fun, project-based course, but it does follow the VHS weekly schedule of work deadlines. As with any online course, discipline and time management will be expected of all students enrolled, and grades may be reduced for late submissions.
Course Materials Students will require the ability to access and upload files to the scratch.mit.edu website in order to participate in this class. Please notify your school’s technology staff of this access need. |
