Course Description Geography examines a broad range of geographical perspectives covering the major regions of the world. Each region is reviewed in a similar structure so students can clearly see the similarities and differences between each one. The course continues with a look at the regions from cultural, economic, and political perspectives, closely examining the human impact on each region. Students explore each region's location globally and its physical characteristics, including absolute and relative location, climate, and significant geographical features. Unit topics include an introduction to geography, North America, Central America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia, and East Asia.
