Course Description This course is designed to introduce the health information technology student to the calculation, compilation, analysis, and presentation of health-care statistics. Focus is on basic descriptive and inferential statistics and the concepts of data validity and reliability. The course also covers data collection methods, interpretation of data, calculation of statistical formulas, and uniform reporting requirements.
