Course Description What are computers anyway but a pile of metal, plastic, and other objects? Yet, computers are capable of doing very fantastic things ranging from mundane calculations to exciting virtual reality. However, by their nature, computers are very "baby like." Yes, they need to be told how to do everything! It is the job of programmers to teach the computer how to do meaningful tasks. That's where you come in.
Delivery Method Prerequisites Knowledge of the Windows 95 or 98 Environment Platform: PC running Visual Basic 6.0 (Learning, Standard, or Professional Edition.) If a computer running Visual Basic 6.0 is not available to a student, a copy of the software will be provided by the instructor. NOTE that site coordinators should contact the section teacher immediately upon enrolling a student if that student will need a copy of the software. This will ensure that the software is purchased and mailed out in a timely manner. Students should be able to download and upload small files. Course Materials Virtual High School will have course materials, if any, shipped directly to students. While there is no additional cost for course materials, there is an additional charge for return shipping. Students are required to return such course materials to course instructor upon completion of the course. |
