Course Description This course is designed to make learning as natural and entertaining as possible. Providing a rich experience in communication, the course is fun and engaging as it focuses on music, stories, memory aids, Diglot Weaves, you-are-there adventures, individual Learning Style activities and pictographs (rather than grammar rules, rote memorization and drills). In addition to meeting state standards, students focus on the 5 Cs of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) standard: communication, cultures, connections, comparison and communities. Grammar includes original sentence construction, verb infinitives and base forms, irregular verbs, Latin-derived cognates, concrete objects and associated verbs, adjective agreement and demonstrative pronouns. This course is completely online, using sound files. Students will need access to speakers for the sound files which can be retrieved via a variety of media players (Mp3, Real Player, Windows Media Player, QuickTime). Delivery Method Other Information One time start-up fee: $1,950- includes coordinator training (2-3 hours phone training for up to 3 people), database set-up and the first year of technical support.
