Course Description Honors World History offers a reading- and writing-intensive version of the World History course. The course enables students to examine and interpret influential historical events. Weekly compositions, in response to the readings, employ creative writing, analysis, description, compare/contrast, poetry, short stories, imaginary writing, personal experiences, editorials and diary entries. Honors World History includes a wealth of dynamic, informative websites. It meets state standards and is based on the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) standards. College prep.
