Course Description This course will explore the use of photography as a record of visual history - not just in the use of documentary photography, but as a reflection of technological developments, social trends, and as a means of personal expression. Students will examine the works of famous photographers and will develop an aesthetic vocabulary. They will also create studio assignments in order to gain an appreciation for how photography can be used as a means of personal expression. Delivery Method Prerequisites Students do not have to have a camera or a darkroom, but they should have access to a scanner. Course Materials Virtual High School will have course materials, if any, shipped directly to students. While there is no additional cost for course materials, there is an additional charge for return shipping. Students are required to return such course materials to course instructor upon completion of the course. |
