Course Description
COMPLETE COURSE

Computer Literacy A course: This course is designed to develop students’ overall understanding of computers and to enhance their technical skills in both basic computer functions and in the use of various types of software. By providing technical instruction and several practice opportunities, this course provides a strong foundation in basic computer literacy. After completing this course, you will be able to recognize computer hardware and use Windows XP and Mac OS operating systems. Students also will learn to use various software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software), which are based on Open Office.org unless otherwise noted.

Computer Literacy B course. The course content will include a review unit from the introductory course before covering advanced features of spreadsheets and databases. The course is intended to further develop students’ understanding of key issues in computing technology including additional information about the use of spreadsheets and databases; an introduction to HTML. It ends with a unit covering careers in technology.

Computer Literacy is also offered as:

A selection of 12.5% of the Full Credit Equivalent course.

Weekly Course
A selection of 3.125% of the Full Credit Equivalent course.
